Giving Circles: The Onramp for Strategic Giving and Collective Philanthropy

WELCOME
North Carolina's giving circle community has flourished in the past five years. Currently, there are more than 40 known giving circles in the state, and many more that are emerging. Although there is some communication and collaboration among circles, there has never been a formal gathering open to all circles and their members.

We are hosting the first ever gathering of NC giving circles. Join us on Saturday, January 26 2013 for a one-day conference in Raleigh, NC. Click here for more details and click here to register. The registration cost for the event is $30, but there are waivers and travel stipends available. Please email the organizers at nccollectivegiving@gmail.com for more details.

The gathering will:
  • Create a stronger network of giving circles in North Carolina
  • Identify and distribute best practices and new models of philanthropy
  • Build new leaders in individual giving circles, as well as new leaders in the North Carolina philanthropy landscape
  • Increase strategic civic engagement in communities across the state
  • Strengthen the diversity of types of giving circles in North Carolina
